It's totally possible to have zombies chasing you that are missing limbs, have huge holes in their chests and that are even missing heads. Zombies pop up, you point the right stick in the undead's direction and the bad guy's body begins to fly apart in a hail of gunfire and mists of blood. From what I've played, Zombie Apocalypse is bloody fun. When the final game comes to the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live, expect 55 days of horror. So, in my build, beating day one means surviving every zombie on the tarmac of an airport, day two is set at a junkyard and day three is back to the airport. See, "surviving" a day means making it through every wave of brain-eaters that place has to offer. The demo I have in the office gives me the chance to play as any of the four survivors - the game does support both online and offline co-op - for three days in two of the game's seven environments. Your goal is to survive wave after wave of flesh-hungry zombies for as many days as you can. Set to arrive sometime in the second quarter of this year, Zombie Apocalypse is a twin-stick shooter that casts you as one of four survivors. Fire is your most important tool and massive scores can be achieved by burning the zombies en masse and setting up huge chains of explosions that wipe them out in one go.Zombie Apocalypse is like that - except it ditches the cuddly undead for grotesque roamers, tosses in some filthy environments and gives you that Left 4 Dead "all hope is lost" vibe. To survive you must shoot, burn and explode as many zombies as possible before they overwhelm you. Standing in your way is a never ending horde of undead. Your hero is Bruce – an average every-day Joe who was looking forward to spending some ‘quality time’ with his girlfriend Daisy when their Saturday night is interrupted by a zombie invasion. The goal is simple: to get the highest score possible. A top-down, arena-based third-person shoot ’em-up in the classic coin-op tradition will contain all new mechanics.
